CONTRADICTION 7" EP 01. Stitch 02. Erase the Thought 03. Suburban Haven 04. Of It 05. Figure It Out 06. Contradiction 07. Up & Over 08. Too Bad Label: Shag Dog Records Cat #: SHAG DOG 1 Format: 7" EP Released: 1983 |
Reviews: A nify new thrash band from the Midwest. Their most noticeable characteristic is a vocal style that sounds alternately like the Circle Jerks ("Figure It Out"), 7 Seconds ("Erase the Thought"), or Minor Threat ("Too Bad"). The music is sloppy but exuberant, the production is suitably primitive, and the themes sometimes make you stop and reflect (especially in the title cut and "Up and Over"). Recommended. -Jeff Bale (from Maximum Rock'n'Roll #12, March 1984) |
