Reviews: As far as I'm concerned this is clearly the best thing this band has ever released. The lyrics might be dubious at best, but there is no denying the incredible adrenaline-boosting hardcore rock'n'roll let loose here. Both songs grab you by the ears and shake you around. A must for speedrock fans. -Brady Rifkin (from Ink Disease #10, Winter 1985) The new refined GANG GREEN has a lot more metallic influences in this approach. A new band with Chris' vocals sounding different, is this still GANG GREEN?? Maybe GANG GREEN meets AC/DC, but no longer is the maniac speed evident. Good guitar work, but craving the old band. You decide. -Pushead (from Maximum Rocknroll #28, September 1985) Issued as a skateboard-shaped picture disc (and a fine picture it is; reminds me of the rogues I went through high school with) this is two parts collector's novelty and at best one part music. Take a teenage paean to drinking and skating and add a liberal portion of noise, heavy on the guitars, and you have Gang Green. Get this to hang on the wall instead of to play. -Mike Gunderloy (from Factsheet Five #25, February 1988) |
