Reviews: The second full frontal assault of raw, rigorous rapidity from S.S.D. Seven more classic attacks of persistent manifestation. Springa's harsh garroting vocals onslaught wild power as the band, now featuring a second guitarist, delivers some intense unrestrained material. The year's best so far. -Pushead (from Maximum Rock'n'Roll #5, March/April 1983) Definitely one of my current faves! One of the few bands to play metal and come off not like they're joining any bandwagon but very sincere. "Stick Together" is a classic in in the unity line. Us lung toasters can't help but feel respect and, yes, even guilt after hearing the onslaught of "Get It Away." -Vince Rancid (from Slam #17, 1983) Get it away, that stinky first album! But I'll take this one, uh-huh, yep. This one is slower with better production and the lyrics are even about things other than Straight Edge and Skinheads, if you can believe it. The two guitarists create a monstrously intense and scary wall of distortion, the playing is wild and out of control. This is 80 million times better than the crappy "Kids United" LP. Buy it. -Tom Miller (from Oops! #6, 1983) |
