Reviews: This thang is great, obnoxious in its iconoclasm. The A-side is a thrash-noise send-up of that song from our TV-childhood, "I Think I Love You". Lead singer Jism snottily screams the lyrics accompanied by the most chaotic guitars and rhythms since the Velvet's "European Son". The B-side is a paen to the hardcore hangout in New York. Sick, sick, sick. -Barbara Rice (from Truly Needy Vol. 2 No. 2, May 1983) Ism's annihilation of the Partridge Family hit ("I Think...") couldn't be more complete; manic velocity, unrestrained instrumentals, and vocals shrieked at top volume combine to create instantly unforgettable funnypunk. The flip is a bit repetitious, but it's more than made up for by the vicious David Cassidy-Shirley Jones lampoon on the front cover. Hysterical! -Steve Spinali (from Maximum Rock'n'Roll #6, May/June 1983) |
