Reviews:

You know how Youth Brigade's LP is one of the more popular HC records... well this is nothing like it, and I'm glad cuz I hated that record! And why are people comparing this to U2? Must be because that's the only pop they've heard in the past 5 years. Anyway I think this is the best pop, yet not disco music I've heard. "War for Peace" is the grooviest ballad. Pop, yet enjoyable, powerful without crunch, and great production. But not recommended for anyone who doesn't like at least some non HC/metal music.

The Brigade is dead. Long live The Brigade! These erstwhile purveyors of positive punk cement their move into other genres with this EP. It opens with a rousing funky mix, segues into a song that smacks of The Cure, and then pulls it all together with an original touch that, while hinting at lots of Brit influences, still manages to be very original. They're still a little rough around the edges but the band definitely has moved into a much more accessible format, incorporating the slickness of pop liveliness with the harder edge of their earlier roots.
