Reviews: I'm sure that Oberkampf feels that this new album represents "progress" in relation to their earlier sleazy punk style, but the addition of overly slick production, echoey Bauhaus-type vocals, sound effects, and unoriginal post-punk rhythms only leaves me cold. Aside from an occasional glimpse of their former straightforward power (in songs like "Au present," "Johnny sois mauvais," and the classic "Tout ce fric"), this record is a step backwards into pretention.
