Reviews: A lot of songs on this record sound like fast Kiss, although some parts of the music could pass as regular slower Kiss songs considering how much the singer's voice sounds like Gene Simmons. Some of the music does sound pretty good, though, resembling CH3 and Menace. All of the lyrics are pretty stupid, as well as boring. In "Viet Vets" they say, "Screwed up fucked up losers, that's our viet vets," and in "666 Head" they say, "Watch out for that evil girl, it's your sperm she wants to eat." Pretty funny actually if you take it as a joke; the sad thing is I think this band takes it seriously. This 12" was produced by Geza X and is not worth buying. -Colin Sears (from If This Goes On #3, June 1983) Musically, I like it better than their LP, but the words are, uh, confused, to say the least. They put it best in one of their own songs, where it's admitted that they "haven't the faintest idea what [they're] trying to say." And they prove it--"666 Head" contains some retarded racist shit; "Revolutionary Worker" attacks the RCP for all of the wrong reasons; "Vampire Lady (Coke Whore)" is just plain stupid. I could go on, but it might be contagious. -Tim Yohannan (from Maximum Rocknroll #4, January/February 1983) |
