WALL OF FLOWERS 7" 01. Wall of Flowers 02. Suicide Note Label: Faster Fidelity Records Cat #: 001 Format: 7" Released: 1982 |
Reviews: Are the Amps one of the missing links between the '60s and the '80s? Perhaps. "Flowers" is '60s-style garage rock with overlong guitar leads and anti-censorship lyrics. But buzzsaw guitars, a gradually accelerating tempo, and one of those goofy axe solos that only untutored musicians can produce make the flip a stronger and more modern song. Pretty cool record. -Jeff Bale (from Maximum Rocknroll #4, January/February 1983) |
